AFC MANSFIELD 4 OLLERTON TOWN 3
CMFL FLOODLIT CUP
A cup tie that would have graced any final, with seven goals and lots of missed chances and a game that produced 9 yellow cards.
The game started at a hectic pace with Ollerton having the better of the chances and having a strong penalty appeal turned away, juicy tackles were going in. The game was very end to end with chances going a begging by both sides.
It was AFC Mansfield who broke the deadlock after 30 minutes when the ball was headed home at the far post. As the game was heading towards half time, Ollerton pressed forward and they were level when they had a header find the back of the net.
The opening minutes of the Second Half and AFC pressed forward and it came as no surprise when they re-took the lead after 55minutes, but again on the hour they were pullled back when Ollerton made it 2-2.
As it got colder, we was wondering if this was going to have to go to Extra Time, but AFC Mansfield took the lead on 65 minutes and strecthed it to 4-2 by 75 minutes, but Ollerton hadnt given up and pulled it back to 4-3 on 80 minutes to give us a good last 10 minutes.
